“The saturated visual environment of the web calls for concise but informative copy, relevant imagery, and careful attention to consistency. The integrity of a website design goes well beyond its interface, relying on well-structured code and overall performance.”

As our Director of Web Development, Charlie employs his talents to create sustainable and dynamic web solutions for Tallgrass Studios’ clients, helping to elevate and distinguish their presence in the crowded digital landscape.

“My specialty in web development is the user experience,” he says. “I advocate for clean, fast, easy-to-navigate websites with the user’s needs dictating every design choice.

Charlie is known for meticulous attention to detail. His creative mindset makes him adept at conceptualizing ideas for a campaign. He delivers first-class solutions by staying current in the technical tools of his field, with fluencies including but not limited to HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Laravel, and WordPress.

Charlie says he particularly enjoys the variety of work he receives as Tallgrass Studios’ Director of Web Development.

“As I cycle through the day’s projects,” he says, “I might be mocking up a new website, coding extra functionality of a current site, fixing a broken widget, or brainstorming with the Tallgrass team on a new project.”

Among Charlie’s most ambitious and far-reaching projects is an application that enables Tallgrass Studios to provide clients with easier access to and faster communication about their projects.

“Tallgrass Studios attracts innovative and dedicated business owners,” he says, “and it’s exciting to be a part of their business goals. My foremost concern is knowing what success in a website means to our clients. I then strive steadfastly to bring them great results and a top return on their investment.

“My job is to meet project goals by identifying the appropriate technologies to deploy among the dizzying magnitude of choices available in the modern web.”

Before veering into web development Charlie earned his bachelor’s degree in urban design from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA.
